Background

The Wayra Extension is Peru's largest wind farm, a landmark renewable energy project that has significantly boosted the country’s clean energy capacity. Located in Ica Province, the wind farm represents a vital step towards sustainable power generation in Peru.

The Challenge

Hitachi Peru, working on behalf of ENEL (now Orygen), required a robust and reliable cable management solution for the Wayra substation – an essential component of the wind farm's infrastructure. The solution had to ensure cable protection and stability in a demanding operational environment while meeting strict project timelines and budget constraints in this highly cost-sensitive market.

Ellis supplied the Trident (LSF) cable cleats and 2F clamps with polymer liners, providing a secure and durable cable management system tailored to meet the project’s technical requirements.
