Situation

• Ellis offer a range of jointers tools that are used by engineers when working on live power cables. These include cable core twisters in a range of sizes, cable core wedge and cable core stripper knife.

• A customer requested a tool roll solution for holding the core twisters.

Solution

• The Ellis team developed a prototype and then worked with a local supplier to manufacture the bespoke tool roll.

• These are now assembled and packaged together at Ellis under a single part number with six cable core twisters included.
