Situation

• Network rail required a solution to carry the insulated ATF Cable required in the electrification of the Severn Tunnel project.

• The solution had to withstand the aggressive conditions as well as ensure a 40-year product design life.

Solution

• Ellis worked closely with Network Rail to adapt the proven 2F cable guide clamp by creating a bespoke fixing bracket that was manufactured in-house from Super Duplex Stainless Steel.
