Located 70 km northeast of Aberdeen, Golden Eagle is the second largest oil discovery in the UK North Sea since Buzzard was discovered in 2001.

The requirement was for both single and trefoil formation cable cleats that were able to withstand high levels of short circuit in the harsh North Sea environment.

Ellis Emperor cable cleats were the obvious choice as they are designed for use where the highest levels of short circuit withstand are required and available for both single and trefoil (& quad) cable applications.

All products in the range are manufactured in type 316L stainless steel, meaning they provide ultimate corrosion protection, even in the harshest of environments.

Ellis were able to supply the customer, Nexan, via the local distributor MacLean Electrical based in Aberdeen.
